The grade above is the grade you receive. Full-grain means the grain layer is intact; split leather and recycled leather fibre are named as such wherever they are used, and no synthetic surface is ever described as leather.
Honest limits
- Water
- Water-repellent, not waterproof. The leather sheds brief light rain and splashes; sustained rain, immersion or a soaked seam will let water through. Seams and zips are not sealed.
- Load
- Handles and straps are rated for normal daily use up to a suggested 8 kg. That is a usage recommendation, not a destructive test limit, and it is not a guarantee against deformation.
- Natural variation
- Grain, pores, shade differences and growth marks are characteristics of hide, not defects. Vegetable-tanned leather darkens with light and use.
- Skin contact
- Tanning agents and dyes can trigger contact allergies in individual cases. We do not claim the material is hypoallergenic.
- Chemical compliance
- Tanning conforms to REACH Annex XVII, including the chromium VI limit of 3 mg/kg and the azo dye restrictions. Supplier declarations are held on file and available on request to support@duxlederwaren.shop.
Care
- Wipe with a dry, soft cloth after wet weather; dry away from direct heat.
- Condition two to four times a year with a colourless leather balm.
- Store loosely filled, upright, out of direct sun.

14 days to withdraw without giving reasons, from the day you receive the goods. Refund within 14 days of us receiving your notice. Return postage is borne by you unless the goods are faulty.
