Fassform comes from two German words: fassen, to hold, and Form, form. It holds what you need it to, and it has a shape. That is the whole promise, and it is written as a number on every product page.

Why a table instead of a shop window
Most bag shops are photographed rather than described. A model carries a bag through a station at golden hour and you are meant to infer, somehow, whether your folder fits. Nobody can. So people buy on looks, discover the bag is 3 cm too shallow, and either return it or live with it.
We took the other route. The first thing on this site is a table with every measurable property in a column: capacity in litres, empty weight in kilograms, compartments counted, the largest device the padded sleeve accepts in millimetres. Sort by any of them. Put four bags side by side. Decide on numbers, then look at the photograph to see whether you like it.
The figures come from one record. The table, the product page, the Capacity Match and every filter read the same fields, so there is no marketing figure and no technical figure — there is a figure.
A normal day’s load, laid out. This is the thing a bag has to hold, and it is what the litre figure is measured against.
We name the grade
Full-grain, corrected-grain cowhide, split leather or recycled leather fibre — stated per article, never blurred into the word "leather". 23 of 45 bags are vegetable-tanned; the rest are chrome-tanned and say so.
We state the limits
Water-repellent, not waterproof. Load figures are recommendations for normal use, not test limits. Tanning agents can cause contact allergies in individual cases. None of that is comfortable marketing copy, and all of it is true.
We name no devices
Fit is published as three dimensions in millimetres. No manufacturer, no model, no logo — a millimetre stays true when a model number does not.

Hides are by-products of the food industry from lawful livestock sources. We sell no exotic leather, nothing listed under CITES and no fur. Tanning conforms to REACH Annex XVII, including the chromium VI limit of 3 mg/kg.
