Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period is 14 days from the day on which you, or a third party other than the carrier indicated by you, took possession of the goods. Where you ordered several goods in one order that are delivered separately, the period runs from the day on which you took possession of the last of them.

To exercise the right of withdrawal you must inform us — DUX Lederwaren GmbH, Haderholzstr. 17, 98593 Floh-Seligenthal, Germany, telephone +49 1570910104, email support@duxlederwaren.shop — by means of a clear declaration (for example a letter sent by post or an email) of your decision to withdraw from this contract. You may use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not obligatory.

To meet the withdrawal deadline it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning the exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Consequences of withdrawal — Folgen des Widerrufs

If you withdraw from this contract we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (with the exception of supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract.

We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in no event will you be charged any fees for such reimbursement. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earlier.

You shall send back the goods or hand them over to us without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired.

You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods. In plain terms: you may examine a bag as you would in a shop — fill it, try it on, see whether your load actually fits. A bag that has been carried in daily use, marked or scratched has lost value, and we may deduct that loss.

Return costs — Rücksendekosten

You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. The cost depends on the carrier you choose and the size of the parcel; for a single bag returned within Germany it is typically between EUR 5 and EUR 10.

This does not apply where the goods are faulty or not as described. In that case we bear the return cost — contact us first and we will arrange it.

Where the right of withdrawal does not apply

The right of withdrawal does not apply to contracts for the supply of goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalised. In this shop that means bags personalised with your own embossing through a bulk enquiry. Everything sold from the standard range on this site carries the full statutory right of withdrawal.

How to return in practice

• Tell us within 14 days — email support@duxlederwaren.shop with your order reference, or send the form below.
• We reply with the return address and, if you ask, a suggested carrier.
• Pack the bag so it arrives undamaged. The original box is ideal, but any solid carton is fine.
• Send it back within 14 days of telling us, and keep your proof of postage.
• We refund within 14 days of receiving your notice, subject to the retention right described above.

Faulty goods — Gewährleistung

Separately from the right of withdrawal, the statutory liability for defects applies: two years from delivery under §§ 434 ff. BGB. If a seam fails, a fitting breaks or the bag is not as described, tell us and we will repair, replace or refund in accordance with the law. This is a legal right and costs you nothing.

Natural characteristics of leather — grain, pores, shade variation, growth marks, and the darkening of vegetable-tanned leather with light and use — are not defects. See the care guide for how the material behaves over time.
